SUMMARY
Welcome, and thank you for sharing your time; we are so excited to share this Docu-series with you! I am Tara Carino, alongside Waseem Akbar. We are two of the executive producers for Gaslit America.
We are making this docu-series to create awareness of the senseless murders of the Indian, Bangladesh and Pakistani communities. We are making this docu-series because we are both passionate about equality, visibility, inclusion, and dignity. Crime—murder, burglary, robbery, vandalism, and shoplifting—costs businesses billions of dollars each year. Crime can devastate small businesses, losing their customers and employees when crime creates fear and claims a neighborhood. The Indian, Pakistani and Bangladesh people in America face violence and murder in their workplace, which goes unnoticed by many. These people are getting targeted left and right with no peace of mind to go to work to provide for their families and live. Most criminals walk away without ever being caught or brought to justice. No peace or justice for the families of the people murdered in cold blood that work in these gas stations and retail stores.
People deserve safety in their workplaces and community spaces - not only from violence, but from the economic, social, and environmental conditions that fuel violence in the first place. Fear of crime isolates businesses, much like fear isolates individuals—and this isolation increases vulnerability to crime. Gas stations are hot spots for corruption, and those who live near them say they have had enough of the violence.
Gas station murders, shootings, robberies, and violent criminal attacks are preventable. Helping small businesses to reduce and prevent crime must be a community effort by all of us. Standing together and raising our voices for safety, justice, and equal rights for the gas station community in the United States of America is the only way!
What do we need exactly, and why?
We are asking for your support to raise $25,000 to meet the minimum requirements of our production, advertising, marketing, and travel costs.
Gaslit America is a Documentary series that will be featured on the Mitzfitz of Media television network.
Mitzfitz of Media offers several streaming platforms, such as Roku TV, Spotify, Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick, and Amazon Prime TV. The Mobile App can be downloaded on iTunes and Google Play.
Gaslit America will explore how the lives of one of us can affect the lives of all of us. The stories are raw, uncut, and in your face. We can make a difference by learning the facts, developing a message, getting the word out, and finding solutions. This docu-series will save lives, help raise public awareness and encourage more crime prevention in the community.
Risks & Challenges
The obvious question is, what will you do if the campaign does not reach its goal?
The Docuseries will still be made. We will continue to seek sponsors to generate the funds needed because we believe in this Docuseries and our cause. We will never quit.
Conversely, if the goal is exceeded, we will find more ways to benefit the beautiful people of the community. We can touch more people with more innovative themes and projects.

Sixteen years Community leader, gas station advocate and activist. Dedicated to mitigating crimes where some struggle in silence in the gas station community. State compliance supervisor for the oil industry. Producer and writer.

Tara Carino continues to polish over 18 years of experience in Digital Media Marketing and Public Relations. Tara is a PR guru who has worked for politicians, radio stations, and major retail brands. She has over 15 years of experience in radio and television and is the CEO of Mitzfitz of Media.
