Gary Myers
touched the hearts  of so many people. His reach extended from beyond the borders of Brooklyn, NY to multiple countries around the world. Where ever you go and who ever you speak to, the accounts remain the same. Gary was genuine through and through...

Unfortunately Gary was fighting cancer. And through it all he remained postive, he remained helpful, he was still teaching and he was still overwhelmingly generous.

As #garysfamily let's shower support over Gary's mother, brothers and sisters who he loved dearly. Not only will they incur significant funeral expenses, but they will also suffer from the loss of Gary's contribution to the household.

If you knew Gary, you know he was beyond generous and always willing to lend a smiling face and helping hand. Especially when it came to his treasure. He would give and give and then give some more, even if it was his last. In this difficult time, we want to return the love he so freely gave and provide relief for a portion of the burden his family faces. Any donation, word of encouragement, share, or prayer is valued greatly; they have already been so humbled and grateful by the outpouring of support on social media.

Much love and gratitude to everyone who reads this,
Family *Gary's voice*

*All funds raised will go to cover the funeral expenses. If you have any concerns about the validity of this fund; please reach out to the contact.*

Here are some quotes and accounts of and about Gary that show just how great of a man he was.

“i'm not the greatest coach in the world. god has gifted me with some gifts, talents and abilities. but i can tell you this, i can make this promise easily. if you come to the basketball camp; i can improve at least, minimum, one aspect of your game...” - gary

"Your hugs felt like home and your heart was bigger than your arms could reach. I am so grateful for your friendship Gman. Sending Australian hugs to my nug/ff family." - katie

"Gary Myers, I will miss you forever. I'm beyond thankful that God shared you with me. An angel on earth -- literally. Rest easy G-man ." - kevin

"Gman you're always gonna be in my mind and in my heart as a reminder of how to treat people. I love you and I promise your kindness and warm-hearted spirit will not end here..." - olajawon

"Gary was the type who wasn't ashamed to teach you things about manhood that dudes don't like to talk about. Like, how to say "I love you" regardless of reciprocation, because "love flows in one direction." (My children will know this phrase well, thanks to him.)" - lamare

"No matter what was going in my life, one conversation with Gary instantly provided clarity. He would always end with "I love you"." - philip

"You may not be able to do all 14 slaps today. You may only be able to do 9 but I promise you, if you give me all you got, next week you'll be able to do 10 and the next week 11 and so on." - gary

"The thing is... Even if you didn't have a tight relationship with him. He still showed you love. He still called you his family. Somehow that word won't be the same without hearing it from him." - adrianne

"Who was Gary Myers? He was a brother, son, father figure, servant, leader, counselor, missionary, minister, role model & the best friend." - brian

"I can't hear the word "FAMILY" without thinking about the way Coach said it...

We need to continue to be the FAMILY he held in high regard. We need to support more like he did. We need to love more like he did. We need to help each other and rebuke in love like he did. What an example Gary Myers IS!" - rebekah
