Gary's Gratitude Fund

Our dear friend Gary Kobat is recovering from unexpected, congenital and mechanical valve replacement, a major medical heart procedure. The doctors are absolutely amazed at his body’s performance operating on one valve when most of us have two valves. True Gary style.

To make sure he doesn’t have to stress about finances during a recovery period that will force him to “lay low” for awhile, we have created a Gratitude Fund. The purpose of this is to assist with living costs until he recovers and is back on his feet (or wheels, rather). Fortunately his medical costs are covered by insurance.

Gratitude is a very powerful word that Gary teaches and lives by every single day. We are calling this a Gratitude fund to show Gary an outpouring of our gratitude and appreciation for his presence in our lives.We know he has challenged us, taught us, inspired us, and humbled us. We have reached goals that we didn’t think possible for ourselves. We have been brought to tears as he helped us face old wounds. Above all else, he has operated with love for each of us in helping us learn to love ourselves first and foremost.

We know everyone’s situation is different and there are others in need due to Hurricane Harvey, so please contribute as you can, any amount.
