Gary's Cancer Treatment Plan

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
My name is Amy, I am Gary's daughter. For those of you who know Gary, know that he is an optomistic person with a lively spirit. Even though he is 55 years old, he is usually just as spry as any 20 year old man. He loves spending time with his life partner Lisa, friends, family and grandchildren. He has always known how to appreciate what he has and enjoy the simple things in life. Around January this year Gary started getting really sick. First pneumonia, then iritis, cellulitis and the list just kept getting bigger. Eventually he was admited in the hospital. The results came back in May, cancer.
The doctors told us that Gary has Myloidysplastic Syndrome. In Layman's Terms, Gary needs frequent blood transfusuions, several rounds of Chemo Therapy and eventually a Bone Marrow transplant. If he does not get the transplant within the next couple months they said he will not make it. Recently, Lisa, my dad and I went to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto for a consultation. We went over what was expected from us to help Gary through this process. After his procedure which will require him being hospitalized for one month, he will need to stay locally for around on ehundred days and will need 24/7 care. Unfortunately, Lisa is the only one who is able to work right now and all these expences are more than they can handle on their own. After Gary recieves his transplant and is in recovery, he is required to pay for seperate housing outside of the hospital within eight miles of Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto.
We are asking for financial help to pay for housing and for living expences while Gary is down there.  The doctors gave us until September to get everything in order.  This is a life or death situation and anything will help give Gary some more time to spend with loved ones and a fighting chance at a better, healthier life.
