<div>I dedicated my life to studying and working, step by step building a future I was proud of. I bought a home, started a family, and was living the life I had always dreamed of—until everything changed in a single, devastating moment.

<div>In October, war broke out suddenly. My home was bombed, I lost my job, and my family was forced to flee. We initially sought refuge with a friend in the north, but the constant shelling, the fear for my brothers’ children, and the terror etched on the faces of the women drove us to flee again—this time to the south.

<div>With no safe transportation available, we paid a large sum to escape, risking our lives in a journey filled with danger. Along the way, bombs rained down on people and vehicles. By some miracle, we survived. But the painful truth remains—there is no safe place.

<div>When we reached the south, we crowded into a small house with nearly fifty relatives. We shared a single bathroom and slept close together on the floor. Each day became a struggle to find food, water, and medicine—especially for my aging parents. My 72-year-old father can barely move, and my 66-year-old mother suffers from asthma and diabetes, without access to proper treatment.

<div>Then, on the morning of January 10, our nightmare deepened. I awoke to the screams of my family—my mother had been shot in the head by a quadcopter drone. We rushed her to the hospital, only to find that the medicine and treatment she needed didn’t exist.

<div>Now we live in a single tent with two sisters, a brother, and their ten children. We all share what little food and water we have, while my siblings work tirelessly at the hospital, doing their best to save lives.
</div>

<div>When we heard in February that the war had stopped, hope returned. We went back to our hometown of Beit Lahia, but all that remained was rubble—our home destroyed, our lives in ruins. I built a tent over the ruins of my house, trying to reclaim a piece of the life we had lost.
</div>

<div>But now, war has returned. Death and famine have returned. And the army is once again ordering us to evacuate to the south, to abandon even the tent we built. But we have nothing left—we can't afford to leave. We barely manage to find enough food to survive.
</div>

<div>We don’t know if this war will ever end, or if it will wipe us out through hunger and deprivation. Yet still, we cling to hope—hope in life, hope in the kindness of people like you.
</div>
