Bob Gardner needs your help today!   Bob's story began 6 months ago when he thought he had the flu and then 3 days later ended up being rushed to the hospital and put on a ventilator for 6 days.  He had full kidney failure, Pneumonia, irregular heart beat, sepsis and C-diff.   No one thought he would make it, but he did!  At the time this happened he did not have any health insurance because he was hurt at  work and was eventually let go.  Then causing him to lose his  medical benefits. He did start a new job but was only there for a week before all of this occurred.  It has now been a long recovery with regular visits to Doctors, weekly blood draws and infusions for magnesium.  Along with Doctors trying to get Bob's electrolytes to where they need to be he is also battling a continuous form of vertigo and palmar erythema that cannot be diagnosed until seen by a specialist.  In addition to these bigger issues there are now more underlying issues that cannot be identified by his current doctors.   With all of these complications since his time in the hospital both medical and personal bills have piled up leaving him and his spouse in great debt.  Bob tried to apply for disability but Illinois does not offer short term.  Although they will not approve him, Doctors will not release him to return to work due to medical conditions.  With that being that being said this has  not only caused an enormous amount of stress, but has put them in a situation where there about to lose the roof over there head by the end of the month because they are completely drained of their savings.   Me and my siblings want to help our parents as much as we can but unfortunately we are not in a position to do so.
