Garcia to Garcia

As some of you know and for those of you who don't, our family member and dear friend Mike Garcia was diagnosed with Kidney Disease 2 years ago. Since then his health health and prognosis have declined rapidly.  He is currently at end stage renal failure. For those of us unfamiliar with end stage renal failure, it is the final stage of kidney disease and at that point a kidney transplant becomes neccesary to survive.

Throughout the entire process Mike has maintained as good and positive attitude as posible.  He has continued to work full time as a commercial fire protection installer, studied for an apprenticeship to further his career, cared for his family and is on dialysis 3 times a week. He strength and determination have been truly inspiring.

Finding a matching donor proved to be extremely difficult.  Thankfully Mike's 1st cousin Eddie (Lee) Garcia has stepped up through the graciousness of his heart and offered to be a life donor. His generosity, courageousness, and selflessness are rarely matched in this world.

During this life saving process, both Mike and Eddie will be out of work recovering for significant amounts of time. It is expected to take 3 months for Mike and 1 month for Eddie to recover. 

With all they have been through and are giving I think it is very reasonable for them to be asking for a little assistance. Please look deep into your hearts and wallets/bank accounts and contribute what you can. Every donation goes to an amazing cause (saving a life) and is more appreciated than you will ever realize...
