Gap and God: Julian's 2018!

Greetings, friends! 

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

If you hadn't heard, I'm taking an academic leave to partake in the 9-month GAP program of Kairos North America.  (surprise!)

Living 3 hours east in Michigan, I will be a participant of the University Christian Outreach (UCO-Lansing) surrounded by an excellent group of peers and mentors that support me in my walk to the Lord. 

Beyond this, I will be kept busy with 40 hours of service and training work each week – from humanitarian work and evangelistic practice, to youth work and practical service.

Taking this break from university was a big leap. As recent as last year, I would not have seen myself taking time off after my first year of studies at UBC. However, it was a leap that God really guided me in taking. 

I am beyond excited to leap into God's arms this year and see what He has in store for me.

Clearly, it's not all that easy!
There are a couple things to manage as I go about this mission year! This includes:
✓    flight fare
✓    GAP fee (retreats/conferences, transportation, program)
✓    living expenses

The next steps for me are only possible with your help! 

This will total up to the $11,500 CAD I need to raise for the program alone.

Preceding the year off, this summer, I'll be working hard to pay more bills including: 
✓    covering student loans
✓    summer school
✓    paying bills and current personal expenses
✓    UCO Summer Household   
***You won't be paying for these costs***
Thus, some time of work for the GAP program alone will be taken away, as I work for these expenses first.

With all this information (!!) – I can only ask for your prayers, but I do truly appreciate your generosity.
