Gandalf's medical bills

Gandalf is going through tough times. He has a large mass in his stomach and required emergency hospitalization and procedures that cost simply more money than I could afford. Thanks to your kindness, he is home and feeling pretty good. The initial $5000 raised covered all his expenses.

Update: He has been diagnosed with lymphosarcoma. As this travels through his entire lymphatic system, it cannot be surgically removed, and there is currently no "cure" although, as in humans, remission can last years. Prednisone has shrunken the tumor to the point where it did not even show up on the Ultrasound, which is excellent news! But it's not gone.

My choices are now this. 1) do nothing but the prednisone and make him comfy for as long as I can (6 months average), or 2) go to an oncologist and get him on chemotherapy which could extend his healthy life a few more years. I have been assured that just getting this process underway will eat up the rest of the funds in a matter of days.

This is a decision I must make by the end of this week. Any help is appreciated.
