More than 15 years ago, we opened our first restaurant in St. Louis’ Central West End. It has not always been an easy road, and we have weathered our fair share of storms, always getting by with the help of our community and a passionate belief in our business.
Over the past week, we have had to make a series of impossible decisions about how we will operate in the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
We employ 106 hardworking individuals at Gamlin Whiskey House and Sub Zero Vodka Bar, and we are doing whatever it takes to support them during this difficult time — including humbly asking for your help in this effort. 100% of the proceeds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly to our staff.
These employees are the heart of our business — without them, the dining experiences you’ve come to know and love at our establishments would not be possible.
These laid-off employees face potential economic catastrophe. We are actively advocating for government intervention, but unemployment, rent forgiveness and other measures take time to arrive, and may not be enough to cover basic living costs.
