The hospital released her this week, and she is doing much better now. There are many more months of rehabilitation to come. My mother is a strong woman- who has beaten Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer ten years ago, and I believe with my whole heart she will recover from this as well.
With staggering medical bills from my mother and my father’s medical bills (from a triple bypass from a couple of months ago), we are struggling to pay the bills and keep a roof over their heads.
I am Galina’s daughter, Luda. Like any child, I have looked up to my mom for strength, courage, and unconditional love she gives to everyone in her life especially her family. My parents both moved to the USA from Ukraine in 1997 to make sure my brother and I would have a better life then the crumbled state Ukraine was after the independence from Russia. Growing up and being a part of an immigrant family was and still has its challenges. We moved from state to state a lot because it was hard to find a job. Over the years they have worked hard towards the “American Dream” and in many ways succeeded. She is a hard worker and is a significant part of the community.
HOW THIS MONEY WILL BE SPENT:
With the money donated it will help our family pay the $50K+ bills that have been pilling up. She has several weeks of aftercare for memory, speech and physical therapy.
Help me spread the word out; you can share my link on your social media. We humbly ask anyone to donate whatever you can, even if it's just $5.
