The Galena High School Band is headed to New York City to play at the legendary Carnegie Hall! This historic hall was built in 1890 and made a national historic landmark in 1962. The students will get to perform on the same stage as legendary performers and musicians: Tchaikovsky, Duke Ellington, Judy Garland, and the Beatles to name a few. It will be an amazing experience for all involved.
These kids have worked hard and raised $34,000! We are now asking for your help to get them to their goal of $40,000. Our band students work hard all year long, they are in honors and AP classes and many participate in sports, along with being in the and. They were selected for this festival through an audition process.
