Gail Sue Miears Winter Memorial

Tax deductible
With great sadness Gail Winter passed away suddenly due to illness on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the age of 62. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend to so many.

To honor Gail's memory, the family has asked that we donate to a cause close to her heart in lieu of sending flowers either here on gofundme.com or directly at http://dachshund.rescueme.org/minnesota
Gail's love for Dachshund dogs (her favorite being Molly) gave so much joy to her and those who knew her. By donating to the Dachshund Rescue of Minnesota, we will be able to help her memory live on while helping her favorite dogs find loving homes.

Here is a bit more about the woman who will be missed by so many:

She will be forever remembered by her husband Bob; her children Chris (Samantha) and Jennifer Yost; stepchildren Lisa (Rob) Pue, Bob Jr, and Becky Winter; her 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, her mother Marjorie “Billie” (Jim) Whitten and her brothers Glenn (Cheryl) and Ted (Connie) Miears.

Gail grew up and went to school in Texas. She then raised a family in Colorado, and happily retired in Minnesota. She was a proud business owner of Merle Norman cosmetics, a lover of Dachshund dogs. Gail had a propensity for spirited competition, especially playing golf and watching football. More than anything, Gail enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She would be anyone’s rock or best friend.

Gail will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec 9th from 2:00 -5:00pm at Bethany Methodist Church 10010 Anderson Mill Rd. Austin, TX 78750. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Dachshund Rescue of Minnesota. The Burial and Celebration of Life will be end of January in Minneapolis, MN. Further details to follow.
