Gage Griffin’s Tragic House Fire
Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 6th, Gage received a call that nobody should ever receive….there was a fire at his house and he needed to get home immediately. When he arrived, he witnessed the complete devastation of his home, and learned of the loss of 2 fur babies. While thankful that neither he nor his girlfriend were injured, the loss of their beloved pets is excruciating.
We are all eternally grateful for our friends at Suffolk Fire and Rescue and the Suffolk Police Department for their response and for all of our friends and family that have jumped to help.
We are all thankful nobody was in the home at the time and they are currently safe. However, no family possessions could be salvaged, as everything was determined to be a total loss. It will take time for him to rebuild, and we hope to assist with this journey. We will also plan to collect donations of food, clothing, personal care necessities, etc., but we will update this as soon as we have that information. Our first priority is helping Gage get a roof over his head and start rebuilding. It’s hard enough being a young person starting out, but to deal with a tragic blow like this is just devastating.
As family, friends, neighbors, and the community rally around, we kindly ask for monetary donations to start to help them get through this unimaginable tragedy.
