Welcome to Maria Gabriela Perez and Deerbrook Family Dentistry Harvey Recovery Fund.
My name is Susana Porras. I have been a close friend of Gaby (Dr. Perez) for many years since 1999 when we first started dental school at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. We have continued our friendship over the years, especially since we both moved to the US to start our professional lives.
Maria Gabriela recently opened a beautiful and modern dental practice, Deerbrook Family Dentistry in the Humble, TX area, using her savings and bank loans to pursue her dream and own her dental practice. During Hurricane Harvey, Deerbrook Family Dentistry was completely flooded, over 4 ft of water came inside the building. They lost EVERYTHING, from dental chairs, to x-ray machines, to computers, cabinets, etc. They did not have flood insurance either. Not only she lost almost the entirety of her practice but also she lost her JOB. She wont be able to re-open in several months.
The costs for re-opening the practice to be up and running will be over $300,000. Every penny helps. Please consider donating to this cause.
