Gabi's Woodworking School Tuition

HEAR ME OUT

Hi there! I like to make stuff. Useful things & decorative things. Food, music, living spaces, mobile applications & furniture, among others. My latest passion is woodworking. I created a makeshift shop in my garage where I've been making tables, benches & cutting boards. Recently, I realized I want to gain the kind of woodworking skills that are difficult to attain without the help & guidance of a master. Through the recommendation of a friend,  I signed up for a 12 week intensive on woodworking fundamentals at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking in Washington state. It begins January 12th, costs $4,700 & focuses primarily on pre-industrial woodworking techniques (using hand tools as opposed to power tools).

I'm all signed up and now I have to figure out how to pay for it. I have no savings, just a small income from an app project which will be enough to pay for food & lodging and a small part of the tutition.  In order to pay the full tuition I need an additional $3,200.

I'm reaching out to my community for donations to make this a reality for me. Your help could send me to woodworking school & propel my skillset to a whole new level.

Thank you for your support!

Please read on for donation perks as well as photos of my work.
