Gabriela's Physical Therapy Fund

Hello my name is Gabriela. Just a little over a month ago on August 26th, I was taken to the ER for what we believed was a stroke. By the end of the day i had lost movement in my face muscles to were i couldn't smile. The next day my arms started losing mobility and i was having trouble swallowing my own saliva. By the end of the day on the 27th, I had to be intubated because my lungs were starting to fail. Thats when the doctors diagnosed me with Guillain-Barré syndrome. A condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves, shutting down my body slowly. Luckily it was detected soon and they were able to begin the treatment. Its been a rough month. Now i breathe out of a Tracheotomy that i had done. Ive slowly been recoving. I can begin to move my arms and have begun my therapy at Healthsouth in Midland, Tx. The therapy is a 2 to 4 week treatment that they specialize in. Consisting of Speech therapy, Phsyical therapy  and Occupational therapy. A minimum of 3 hours a day (if tolerable more time) with time to rest in between. That will eventually get me back to talking and moving my arms to able to sustain myself. Healthsouth is being really supportive and is working with us on getting the treatment payed. We gave a down payment for the treatment but we still need to pay the rest. Our goal is to get the $20,000 so we can pay for the great care they have been giving me. They are giving us 60 days to come up with the rest. Thats why I'm creating this Gofundme Account to help pay for my treatment expenses. It is very crucial that we can gather up as much as we can. My husband and Son have already been putting as much as they can out of pocket for this but its not an easy task. Every little bit helps. Every Dollar counts.
