Gabriela Ruiz: Post-fire Support

A recent two-alarm fire destroyed our friend Gabriela Ruiz's home. Fortunately, no one was injured; but in addition to being permanently displaced, Gabriela lost almost all of her personal possessions.
Many people have generously stepped in to offer temporary housing and various donations. As you can imagine this is a tremendously overwhelming experience for anyone and Gabriela is doing her best to rebuild.
As a close friend and colleague, I have seen Gabriela handle this with her usual grace and strength - and she is incredibly grateful for everyone's support. I also know that Gabriela would never feel comfortable asking for the financial support needed at this time, so we've put together this funding campaign on her behalf.
After reviewing her losses, we've conservatively estimated her funding needs at approximately $9,000 - which includes clothing, bedding/linens, furniture, computer/electronics, etc. A particularly tragic loss was of her entire sheet music and audio library. We are happy to report that her flute was off the premises and her bicycles were unharmed. She also recently secured new long term housing.
Any amount you can contribute will be extremely useful in helping Gabriela stabilize and rebuild after this terrible loss. Please give what you can and send your thoughts, prayers, and good wishes!
