No parent is ever prepared for the loss of a child. Especially when it is sudden and unexpected. My heart is broken as I share that my sweet friend is experiencing this untold heartache.
Gabriel Charles Watson was called home to God on November 6, 2019. He was born on July 21, 2002 in Scottsdale, AZ, the son of Charles and Dawn Watson. He attended Utah Military Academy Camp Williams where he was a 2nd Lieutenant honor student, Officer in Charge of Color Guard and Vice Commander of Drill Team. He was also concurrently enrolled in the aviation program through Platinum Aviation in Spanish Fork.
Gabe was an amazing and gifted soul who loved learning and figuring things out. His tender heart drew special people to him and he maintained a loyal and steadfast relationship with them. He spent hours upon hours in volunteer service. He could often be seen assisting younger Cadets as easily as helping his teachers and other leaders. He lead by example.
Gabriel is survived by his parents Charles and Dawn; his sisters Sarah, Jessica and Amanda; and niece Aubree. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents Gary and Patty Vignovich of Madrid, Iowa and paternal grandma Diana Jensen of Phoenix, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Howard Watson and uncle Roger Watson. His various aunts, uncles and cousins also remain.
The services will be held on November 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the LDS chapel located at 5246 W Gossamer Way, Riverton, UT 84096. The funeral service will be immediately followed by a life celebration in the cultural hall.
We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of his unexpected final expenses as well as lost wages as the family has gathered to mourn the loss of their son, brother, grandson, nephew and uncle.
