Gabriel Albert Mata, age 32, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Edwards County, Texas. He was born on March 30, 1990. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Mata.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Denise Mesta, his children Albert G. Mata and Nova A. Mata, and his stepchildren Kitty and Amaya. Survived by his mother Rose Salazar and stepfather Juan Salazar; siblings Abraham, Erika, Eddie, and Albert Jr. Mata.
Gabe was a quiet, reserved, hard appearance on the outside but a loving, soft, and big-hearted on the inside. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and spending time with his kids. He was the light to any one's day, very happy and positive. He was full of patience and kindness. Gabriel will be greatly missed and loved by all and loved all equally.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Following todays memorial service there will be a celebration of life in honor of Gabriel at his parents house. All are invited. 252 Tomahawk Trl.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery
