Gabi's Fight with Breast Cancer

Our friend and colleague, Gabi Raymond, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  She will undergo multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation over the next few months as well as a double mastectomy later this year.

As you can imagine, Gabi and her family are in shock by this recent news and how fast everything has taken place. She has always been healthy, energetic and full of life. Right now, they are focused on doing whatever it takes to fight this battle. Anyone who knows Gabi, knows what a strong woman she is! She has been making efforts to work intermittently through her chemo treatments in an effort to keep up with the mounting medical costs. Unfortunately, it is not enough and soon she will be unable to work after the surgery. 

As a Community Health Worker, Gabi has promoted health and wellness to so many people and provided resources to the underserved to improve their health. Today, it is our turn. As friends, family and colleagues, we are asking for the community’s help.  With the number of days she will miss at work and the countless co-pays and deductibles that have already exceeded $10,000, we would like to raise enough money to help cover some of these costs.

 Please keep Gabi and her family in your thoughts and prayers. She has a long journey ahead of her and we want nothing more than for her to be able to focus on getting better and not have to worry about any financial burdens.  Anything that you can donate will help and is greatly appreciated.
