Gabi Alvarez fundraiser

Last year, Gabi Alvarez, daughter of Kelsy Alvarez started feeling sick and was in constant pain.  After going to several doctors and emergency rooms in Beatrice, Lincoln and Omaha, she was disagnoised in March with Crohns Disease and in July with Colitiis, Gastritis and Scolisis at Boy's Town Medical Center in Omaha.  She has been hospitalized 7 times and takes 19 medications in addition to pain, nausea and dizziness medications.  She has had so many tests, she cannot even begin to count them.  She is now started taking infusions of Remicade.  She has had 3 infusions so far, since September.  So far this has not really helped either.  If this does not start helping, she will need to go to Boston,Colorado or The Mayo Clinic.
Gabi is a 14 year old girl who loves Art, Music, Math, Hisotry and English.  She loves her family and her friends and just wants to be a normal 14 year old, who goes to school and be like everyone else.  The pain, sicknesses, medications and hospitalizations are making this extreely hard for her and this has taken a toll on her and her family.  Kelsy has missed tons of work.  There are many days that Gabi is just too sick to be left home alone and then there are the doctors appoints in Omaha and the hospitalizations and emergency room visits.  In addition, Jasmin, Gabi's younger sister,  had her tonsils and adenoids out this fall and had an adverse reaction and ended up hospitalized in Lincoln for 4 days.
Financially, this has been devastating.  Kelsy does not have any sick leave left, of course.  Sometims she doesn't have much of a pay check each week, because she is taking care of Gabi.  She has family medical leave through her job, but that does not provide an income, as the bills and medical bills keep piling up.
