Around this time last year, we learned about Emily Mclaughlin and about her dealing with breast cancer. Then after surgery but during recovery and cancer free we also learned of her new mission to find a cure, and the annual fundraiser she was starting called "Boobieque." It was after that phone call on what I was going to donate to her fundraiser that I had to teach my sweet son, Gabriel, what cancer was and what it does. He was so moved by Emily's story that a few minutes after our talk, he came up to me with all the coins from his piggy bank and said, "Mommy, can you give this to Emily to help her find a cure for cancer?"

He had never met Emily, he wanted to help her, then they met and the energy between them is indescribable, he loves her smile, she loves his hair... the list goes on and on ... what I love about both ? Their loving hearts and the desire to help and give back.

This year Gabriel has his own mission to find a cure for cancer. His reason? "Because no kid should ever be without a Mama."

His plan: this basketball season he will donate $5 for every basket he makes at his games.

How can you help? Use this page to show your support for Gabriel's mission. All funds donated will go to Boobieque#2, Emily then donates to Cancer Care Services, a local non-profit organization that has supported cancer patients for the past 70 years, and the National Cancer Foundation.
