Hi Friends & Family,
As many of you know, this year I am a National Urban Fellow, an accelerated master's program in Public Administration with Baruch College, CUNY. This program requires a mentorship of which I am currently in at Chica Project (CP) in Boston. CP is a non-profit organization that works to close the opportunity gap for women of color by empowering them with the skills, confidence, and network necessary to thrive personally and professionally.
UWander is CP’s 10-month service-learning program, where participants work to better understand concepts of privilege, solidarity, and the importance of global citizenship. We also train on topics of effective facilitation and communication, positive youth development and site history and culture. This program ends with a service trip to CP's sister school, “Escuela Republica de Guatemala” located in Manganagua, Santo Domingo.
I am asking for your support in my mission to participate on this very important service trip to Chica Project's sister school in Manganagua, Santo Domingo, to lead empowerment workshops for over 200 students.
