As a happily married couple, we have been trying to have a baby for the last 4 years. We got pregnant right away, but Bridgette had an ectopic pregnancy that damaged her tube, causing for its removal.
We tried in vain for over a year, before we finally sought help through a fertility clinic. Even with a high risk of another ectopic, we proceeded optimistically with the hopes of conceiving. We were only given a 5% chance of conceiving. After many months of fertility drugs, counseling, and countless other procedures, we reached the end without even a hint of success.
We finally had a glimmer of hope in September. Bridgette was "late", and took a pregnancy test. It was positive! This was the first time in a long time that we were optimistic, even though we knew we had a few hurdles to clear before we could even think of fulfilling our dream of having a child! Unfortunately, we had another ectopic. Only this time it ruptured Bridgette's remaining tube. The heartbreak we felt the first time was made worse the second time by now knowing that we can never conceive a child naturally.
Insurance doesn't cover IVF. Which is invitrofertilization, and the only way we can fulfill our dream to have a baby created from the love we share for each other. We are asking for our community's help in realizing our dream to become loving parents. Please do not feel obligated to donate, as we are very aware that there are many causes that are more important than ours.
