Andrea's Medical Fund

Recently, Andrea was diagnosed with a congenital brain condition known as an AVM.  The short explanation is that it's a tangled cluster of vessels that don't have normal blood flow, and is at risk for hemorrhaging into her brain.  She recently went in for a procedure called a catheter embolization where they injected a substance called Onyx glue into some of these vessels to block the blood flow to the AVM. It's a first step in treatment for her, and we'll know soon what the next line of treatment should be.  The most likely option is radiation.  

The procedure went well; however, some of the Onyx glue injected into the AVM leaked into a healthy vessel, causing other complications.  Because of this, Andrea will now have to undergo physical and occupational therapy to help her regain control of the muscles on the right side of her body.

Andrea and her husband Mike have six fantastic children to support, and the cost of Andrea's treatment continues to rise.  We're hoping to help raise funds to alleviate some of the financial strain for Andrea and Mike so they can focus on getting her healthy and raising their family together.  Anything you're able to contribute is helpful!  Andrea and Mike appreciate all of the love and support they've received and feel blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people.
