Today, I am reaching out on behalf of a remarkable young girl from my class who is facing challenges no child should have to endure.

She is bright, hardworking, and full of potential. She comes to school every day with a smile, eager to learn, despite carrying a heavy burden. She and her mother are homeless, without a car, living in a motel, and struggling to make ends meet. To make their situation even more urgent, her mother is pregnant and due in just a few weeks.

Her mother is doing everything she can, but with a baby on the way, she is unable to work right now. They are at risk of losing even the little stability they have. My student deserves a safe place to sleep, a quiet space to do her homework, and the comfort of knowing that her family won’t have to worry about where they’ll go next.

I am asking for your support to help them secure temporary housing until her mother can return to work. A stable home, even for a short time, could change their lives. It would mean security for a mother about to welcome a new life into the world and hope for a young girl who just wants a chance to succeed.
