Mila is the daughter of Wes and Rachel Lebow and they are about 2/3 certain that she has a type of Leukodystropy named Krabbe.  Let me explain a little about Leukodystrophy... it's a overproduction of white matter in the brain that attacks the myelin sheath (insulator). It causes psychological/developmental delays, blindness, deafness, hypotonia, seizures, and eventually unable to eat or breathe. Now Krabbe is one of the most aggressive types because not only does it affect all the things I mentioned but also attacks the central nervous system.  Mila already has severe damage to her tibia nerve. This disease is rare (about 1 in 1000) and almost always fatal if diagnosed early. Mila will be 1 on Sept 18. She has a big brother Kaine that loves her to pieces and he has no idea of the battles she faces every day. Wes and Rachel have had to cut back on work due to appointments, tests, and therapy.
