Karen's cancer journey

Two Days after Mother's day, my wonderful Mother (pictured on the right) was diagnosed with  aggresive stage 2 Uterine Cancer. Since learning about it she has underwent surgery for a hysterectomy, had a port placed for Chemo and received two Chemo treatments.

      She has been unable to work since she had surgery in early June. Her insurance plan will not cover her booster shots needed to boost her immune system . Without the booster shots she cannot return to work without compromising her immune system. Therefore, putting her out of work until her six rounds of Chemo are done. In addition she has to receive radiation treatments after the Chemo therapy.

       The money she recieves from disability while being off is not enough to cover her living expenses on top of paying out of pocket for her insurance, and also paying a portion of the care she recieves.  She has had to borrow money, which she never ever likes to do, but has had no choice. Therefore, I am one of her 3 children and I am asking for donations to help her comfortably overcome this misfortune so she can return to her life.
