Arlington MLK Jr. Birthday Observance Committee

The Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Observance Committee will be hosting our annual celebration virtually again this year, to keep community members safe during this time. This gofundme is in place of the typical collection that would take place during the in person celebration. Any donation will make an impact on our community. The proceeds will be distributed to public organizations and nonprofits that promote the goals of equality, justice and nonviolence for which Dr. King gave his life.

Previous donations have been made to the African American Scholarship Fund for students at Arlington High School, Arlington EATS, the Center for Jewish Life (following arson attacks), and the Mass Covid-19 Relief Fund. 

The 2021 donations made it possible for us to give four $1,000 scholarships to youth and a $1,000 honorarium to The Huntington Theater Company ‘s Student Program EPIC: Empowered Performers in Conversation.
