Help Kira's fight against cancer

As many of you know Kira was diagnosed with breast cancer this last month. The diagnosis has come as a complete shock, and to say that it’s been a terrifying, grueling experience for Kira is an understatement.
So this is what we know for now:
Kira's cancer is hormone receptive invasive ductal carcinoma with neuroendocrine differentiation. It is infused throughout her breast and into her lymph nodes making it stage III.
Kira will have 20 weeks of chemo to start her treatments. The first 8 weeks will be a chemo called AC. This chemo is a more intense type with side effects like hair and nail loss, fatigue, bone pain, appetite loss, and a very small risk of leukemia and heart failure. The next 12 weeks will be a chemo called Taxol which is less intense, but will still include fatigue, heartburn, infusion reactions, neuropathy, (numbness in fingers and toes) and loss of white/red blood cells.
After chemo she will have her surgery, probably a double mastectomy, then radiation, then reconstructive surgeries, then 10 years of hormone blockers which will put her into a medically induced menopause (which will include side effects including bone loss, joint pain, heart problems and more).
All of these treatments could change or be prolonged depending on how her body and the cancer reacts.
In light of this, we are kicking off a fundraiser to help support Kira for the months of treatment that are ahead. The money raised will be used to help Kira pay for out-of-pocket expenses of her treatments, as well as other services such as food delivery, house cleaning, and Ubers to and from the hospital.
