She beat cancer once and she'll do it again!!
My amazing sister-in-law Brianne as some of you may know was just recently diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma for a second time. She was originally diagnosed just shy of her 21st birthday, 14 years ago. Recently she was having routine scans and addressing a pain in her side she had been complaining about for a few months before getting the most disappointing, unexpected biopsy result.
She's the strongest most caring person I know, who would do anything for anyone. I've been asked by SO many awesome friends and family how they can help and it was decided that this might be the best way to do so. She has a very long road ahead of her and is unable to work unlike last time when she kicked cancers butt!
She just finished up 3 days, Monday-Wednesday 7am-5pm of chemo here at Cape Cod Hospital and will be having another round in 2 weeks again here on the Cape. She did so great! Then she'll be heading to have a stem cell transplant at Dana Farber in Boston where she'll spend a minimum of 3 weeks admitted in the hospital. Her main concern through this whole thing has of course been Sophie, and being out of work. Sophie has the best Dad anyone could ever ask for (my brother) and sooooo much family in her life to help distract her from what's going on. So let’s all try and help them financially in any way we can to allow her to just focus on getting better and staying strong!
