Josh's Medical Bills

My good friend Josh contracted Valley Fever earlier this year near where he lives in the Los Angeles area. After several mis-diagnoses by doctors and weeks of severe vomiting, dehydration, and mind-splitting headaches, he finally had a doctor do a spinal tap and they found the Valley Fever fungus in his spinal fluid. That's right, he has fungus in his spine and brain now. Typically Valley Fever is a respiratory infection that clears up on it's own. In Josh's case, he has the worst type - fungal meningitis. It can take months to clear up, perhaps longer.

He has once again been hospitalized with more complications.

Since he's been in and out of the hospital since July of this year, the bills have obliterated his family's finances. He's the single earner in his household and his short term disability benefits are minimal. His wife Bryn and two kids are in real peril of losing everything.
