In August 2020, my gravely disabled daughter was located sitting in her own feces and urine ( 3 days she sat in this ) and not one human being, police officer, case Mngr, social worker offered toiletries, transported her to local hospital, called her a paramedic being obviously dehydrated and maybe Covid 19 ? No offer of a clean underwear, shorts or clothing ? In 2015, my only daughter ( adult ) disappeared. I reported, this to Police, but they said she’s over 18 we conclude it’s voluntary. Instinctively, as a mom I knew something was very wrong. I did get a police case number and asked media to tell her story ( my daughter was a two year volunteer at Chico Catalyst Women’s Shelter ) & she volunteered many years to socialize cats as well as local hospital volunteer. The news station wouldn’t air her disappearance as they said police failed, to confirm case number. Two half years I thought she could be murdered or alive. I searched every database etc to locate her. I finally got info from law enforcement but she had inherited a psychosis condition ( from grandma ) my mom whose had paranoia and Schizophrenic tender cues for decades. It’s complex. My child out of State and law enforcement tells me I can’t come get her and bring her back to Calif for treatment ( they say that’s kidnapping ) what the hell right ?! My child who is now 31 is ill and already had high functioning Autism ( now struck with this schizo disorder but won’t get treatment )voluntarily ...... so what I’m doing is taking Amtrack / Greyhound to visit her as baby steps I hope she will eventually trust me enough to get help there then want to get a healthy life again. She’s not on drugs or alcohol but she lacks an ID card to travel. In her mind she believes she can’t leave her State for 31 years ( she’s said this to me ) and she says when the plane comes for her then she can leave on a plane . It breaks my heart she has delusional confusion. I cannot just kidnap or force her in a car. She’s my world and I love her. She’s always been a Catalyst for positive Change so I name this in honor of her ( Katie ). I’m asking for help covering just travel costs from San Diego Ca into there in Nevada. Amtrack usually is less than Greyhound but cost of $125 etc each way then motel one night. I stay usually 24 hours each trip cause she seems to say that’s all for now.
