Help for Harry

Donation protected

This is Harry! He is our 4 year old boy ginger tom cat!

Harry became a part of our family in the summer of 2011 and I promise you have never met a cat like him. He loves people more than anything and will happily sit through band practice, hoovering, and any number of household DIY jobs. As long as he is with you in the middle of the action he is happy!

Every one we know loves him, he makes friends with all the passers-by and he just epitomises the happiness in our home.

On Thursday 30th July Harry was out for a walk when he tried to cross the road, He knows this area well and he explores freely, and safely. A car crashed into him at about 3pm and our little man suffered severe head injuries. We don’t know who hit him, or what the reasons were that he found himself in that situation.

Despite the massive head trauma he received, Harry managed to find his way home through the cat flap and on to his special spot on the bed. He waited there until I got home from work. He was covered in blood and crying for help.

I rushed him to the cat hospital where he was immediately taken into intensive care. They were amazed how such a little guy could withstand such a massive blow to the head and we were all praying he would make it through the night!

He made it through that first night, and once again everyone was amazed that he was coping so well in spite of his injuries. But as his mum and dad we knew he would make it, he is the biggest character we know and if anyone was coming out of this horrible accident it would be him!

 ...

This brings us to now, with a fractured skull, broken jaw in 2 places and ruptured eye he is in need of a lot of specialist medical treatment, and love.

We want nothing more than to have our guy home and visiting him today in the vet hospital only confirmed that. Heavily dosed up he still got up to say hello to us and started purring when he heard our voices. We know we can save his life and we will find a way to pay the medical bills no matter what happens. But if anyone out there would like to help us, and more so Harry, then we would appreciate it so much.

We have been told that the eye removal will cost £600 his 24/7 care, x-rays and medicine will be £800 and then his jaw surgery will bring us up into the region of £2000.

If you know and love our cat, or if you just know how important animals are in our lives then please spare any coins you have and help us get Harry home.

There really is no donation too small!

Harry will be giving out free hugs and puds to anyone who donates!!
