Hi, my name is Ron. I recently had the opportunity to move to Hawaii and work at a hospital on one of the little Hawaiian Islands. At the time I was purchasing a nice 2 bedroom house and had a good job but the opportunity was to good to pass up. So I sold my home. I had only been paying on it a few years so most of the proceeds went to pay off the bank loan. I also had to sell almost all of the personal possessions I had accumulated over my 53 years. I moved to Hawaii and very shortly after that the Covid-19 pandemic hit. The little hospital I worked at slowed down on business due to lack of tourism and decided that they needed to cut back on expenses and my job position was eliminated. The company had given me $7,500.00 to relocate which I used to cover expenses and get new things for my apartment. I not only had to sell these things for pennies on the dollar because the cost of shipping them was way to expensive, but the company then also had a clause that you needed to work for them for so long to keep the relocation fee, so they took back the $7,500.00. I have now had to move back to Georgia and am living with a friend of mine and his 75 year old mother. I am looking for a job but as everyone knows a lot of businesses are going under and hiring is slowed down drastically during these extreme times. I now have no job, lost my house, 90% of all my possessions and no savings. The bills are piling up and I can't even help my friends I am staying with. Any support at all will be so greatly appreciated. It doesn't matter if it's a dollar. If enough people sent just 1 dollar it adds up. I am 53 and being in this position is very depressing and greatly affecting my happiness and quality of life. I can't even explain how much some help will mean to me. I am in a pretty dark place inside and being able to stand on my own feet again will bring new light into my life. To all who contribute, may life bless you with comfort and happiness. Thank you!!
