My cousin, Melissa Graves, needs your help! On August 6th she was at a concert in Redmond Washington when she found herself at the center of a random accident.
While enjoying the music another concert goer decided to run on stage. The concert venue security personnel attempted to catch the gentleman so he threw himself off stage and into the audience. Meanwhile, Melissa, who was in the front row, found herself being crushed.
After the fall the stage diver simply stood up and walked away, not bothering to help Melissa up, see if she was okay, or apologize for crushing her. Once the man got off Melissa she discovered that she wasn’t able to feel either of her arms or her legs. Other concert goers yelled at the man that he hurt Melissa but again, he just walked away.
Melissa was immediately taken to the hospital where she went into surgery to repair two vertebrae as well as align her spine.
Since her surgery Melissa has been working hard through her physical therapy with lots of support from her family. Although the doctors are giving her a hopeful prognosis, she still has a very long recovery.
So this brings me to why I am here. I am hoping that some of you will be able to help, even if it is just a little, to help ease the financial pressure that I am sure will come after months of Melissa being unable to work.
Through no fault of her own, Melissa has become a random victim of a cruel person. Please don't let this horrible accident end with the heartlessness of the "stage diver" and help me in aiding Melissa in giving her a happy ending. Any small amount that you would be able to donate would greatly help, this situation could happened to any of us, so let’s show Melissa that we support and care about her even if the "stage diver" won't.
