HELP ME, HELP SOMEONE
Hi Everyone! As you know (or don't know) unemployment has skyrocketed due to Covid-19 in NJ. Unemployment is backed up for months(I, myself have been struggling with getting mine for 2.5 months). When in a Facebook group (for unemployment help), I came across a man who asked for prayers because he no longer has a job, is kicked out of his extended stay motel due to not being able to pay the nightly rate, has no food or family and was struggling, he did not ask for handouts, he simply wanted some prayers in hopes his situation would turn around. I originally was going to pay for 2 nights from myself and my boyfriend, however many people wanted to help. During the last two days I was able to raise nearly $1,000 to extend his stay for another week and InstaCart food to him. Currently, he cannot access his mail because his legal address is at the Social Services building which is closed due to Covid-19. He has a phone and uses the motel wifi. I am hoping to get around $2,000 to continue to provide him with a roof over his head until he can get situated at social services, however, I cannot do this alone. During this sensitive time for everyone, I am asking that friends, family and strangers help me, help someone else.
