Jack's Medical Expenses

Poor baby Jack was born (unexpectedly) with Heterotaxy Syndrome which has caused numerous heart defects as well as a malrotation of his intestines.  He spent the first 6 weeks of life in Cardiac ICU and stepdown and had open heart surgery with Bipass at 4 weeks old.  He has a weakened immune system due to the Heterotaxy and has to see numerous specialists including Cardiology, Speech Therapy, Gastroenterology, Pediatric Surgery, General Pediactrics and an Ear Nose and Throat specialist.  We've consulted with all of the above many times already and have dished out hundreds of dollars since he's been home just in follow up appointments.  He has a feeding tube in indefinitely due to a swallowing disorder from intubation.  His overall hospital/doctor bills have totaled over $600,000!  Luckily we have pretty good insurance but now we are getting hit with all of our copays and owe the hospital about $6000.  I know that's minor compared to the grand total but a family member recommended to me to start this to see about getting some relief, especially since we keep adding out of pocket payments every week to the specialists (I've paid out almost $200 already just this past week).  No obligation and we are not expecting anything.  But for those that keep asking about our gofundme...here it is.  Thanks for the prayers and support.
