Where to start..
I woke up one day about 6 years ago and life would never be the same, I woke with such horrible pain on one side of my head that little did I know it would take nearly 4 agonising and emotional years to get some answers to why I was in such daily chronic pain.. Yes I have had a headache/migraine everyday for 6 years. I have been diagnosed with an Incurable brain disease called Hemicrania Continua (unresponsive to indomethacin), and on top of that chronic cluster migraines..
My husband and I were devastated to say the least, especially for our two children as this is hard for them to see their mother to go through. Knowing this is life long is a hard path for us all.
Despite been given a tonne more bad news, like several surgeries and losing my uterus and gall bladder amonst really just a lot of bad luck, I'm still up and about smiling, fighting, not letting the constant health issues get me down! Its hard to choose to stay positive after constant hits but what's the alternative eh?!
We've been going to doctors and specialists for 6 years now and unfortunately, with new health issues and surgerys just around the corner, And living 600 odd kms away from the major hospitals, specialists and having to frequently do multiple trips at a minutes notice for a day visit or for up to weeks at a time this is very toll taking. My husband he's already super husband in my eyes, But I would love for some of the burden to be lifted off of him (us) as it's quite a lot to deal with on top of what we are dealing with financially, as we all know to well this is costly and unfortunately not a lot is covered when your dealt a rare disease, plus a multitude of health issues and your left to fend for yourself and still try look after a family and bills.
