Save Jenny the dog

Little Jenny's owner fell on hard times and could not longer take care of her.  She brought her to Northern Virginia with only a old towel and disposal lunch meat container as a dog bowl.  Along with that Jenny wasn't allowed to live indoors.  During the summer Jenny didn't suffer being outdoors  but now that it's gotten cold; Jenny needed a home that would take her in.  She found that home but the new caretaker discovered she had a horrible urinary tract infection and took her to the vet.  The vet did a normal run of tests and discovered that Jenny has heartworms.  If Jenny isn't treated, she will die.  While the new owner was able to absorb the cost of the vet bill and antibiotics for the UTI, the heartworm treatment is very costly and requires that Jenny be kept completely calm for almost two months.  The new owner needs help with the costs that accompany the heartworm treatment, which include medications and overnights at the vet's.  Jenny needs treatment as soon as possible so the heartworms don't get any bigger causing Jenny pain.  Even though Jenny has only been in our life for a only a short time, she has completely captured our hearts and we need to get the worms out of hers so she can live a long and happy life with her new family.
