This summer I have the incredible opportunity to go to Uganda and volunteer in an orphanage with children ages 3-18 years old. I just graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in Child and Family Development with an emphasis in Child Life.
After my visit to the orphanages in Vologda Russia, I have dedicated my life to working to better the lives of children in orphanages around the world. In all of my experience and education, I have learned that children thrive in an encouraging and comforting environment where they have a positive attachment to a caregiver. To children growing up in an orphanage, this is not always a possibility. It is my goal to travel to these places and work with the children and the staff to develop a more child and development friendly curriculum for the children.
Children are my passion. I love everything about them and I am blessed to learn from them everyday. Their curiosity, creativity, generosity and innocence is truly inspiring. I hope to work hard for children around the world and give them a chance to have a life they deserve. As simple as it may sound, my life goal is to love children. To love children who otherwise may not experience the power of love.
It is through supporters like you that makes this a possibility. I will blog about my preparation for this trip as well as while I am there. I truly appreciate your support either financially or emotionally, it is a huge help!
Thank you in advance and enjoy my blog!
