RAGAN SASAKI CANCER FUND

If you are a Monument Academy – Monument, CO (MA) family, then you may know Ms. Ragan Sasaki. Ms. Sasaki is a fifth grade MA teacher and has been teaching for eight years.  Ragan has recently undergone two major lung surgeries and has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After she is able to recover from lung surgery, she will have another surgery and cancer treatments.

If you don’t know Ragan Sasaki but remember a teacher in your life that was passionate about teaching and about her students; a teacher who never left a child behind in their ability to learn, then Ms. Sasaki is exactly that type of teacher.

Please consider helping with the thousands of dollars of medical expenses that she will accrue in the weeks and months to come.  While in treatment, she will continue to have to support herself and care for Ichi, her 7 year old Goldendoodle, pay rent and the usual household expenses.  The financial pressure is enormous, so please let’s help Ragan out by taking this burden off her shoulders.  Cancer is stressful enough and Ragan needs to focus on her recovery.  Diana Dunston, a MA parent, is hosting an event in her home and will be adding all the contributions to the Go Fund Me to help raise funds for Ragan.  This is another opportunity  that allows us all (MA parents; students; teachers; administrators who has been touched by Ms. Sasaki; and anyone else who knows the significance a dedicated teacher can have on one’s life)  to join together and make a donation today to help Ragan in her fight to treat her cancer.  Thank you.
