Help me beat brain cancer!

Donation protected
Hello!

My name is Bobby Aviles. Three years ago I was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome and stage 3b colon cancer. With the help of excellent doctors, family and friends, I endured chemotherapy and surgery. We won that round. However, my cancer is trying to make a comeback.

On October 6, 2014. I was diagnosed with glioblastoma--a very nasty often lethal form of brain cancer. You can learn more about it here:

http://www2.mdanderson.org/cancerwise/2013/04/qa-understanding-glioblastoma.html and here:

http://www.neurooncology.ucla.edu/performance/glioblastomamultiforme.aspx

This particular form of cancer is hard to treat because it has many different kinds of cells--that means I’m going to be enduring radiation, chemo and surgery over the next few months.

Those of you who know me well know that when I’m not helping people solve technical problems, that I like to play games. I’m calling my cancer fighting effort team “achievement unlocked.” Each small achievement in a game gives a player another resource to advance. Together we can help unlock those achievements and win.

I need your help. I do have health insurance, but getting to and from the treatment center, buying groceries and providing for my family is difficult. Would you consider making a small donation to help cover groceries, cab fare to the center, and other incidental expenses?

I am committed to fighting this fight. Send me an email, or text to brighten my day. Make a donation. I beat cancer before, and with the help of excellent doctors, family and friends, I will do it again.
