Raising money for a family in need!!

Okay I am begging for some help. There is a nice lady who works at the Tim Hortons that I frequent while I am at work. Over the last year I have gotten to know her a little bit. She is a single mother of two teenage children. She lived in an apartment complex in a very rough part of town. When I say rough, I mean shootings, drug dealing, gang activity and prostitution. She recently moved to Columbus from Oregon to provide a better life for her and the children. A couple of weeks ago there was a fire in her apartment building and she lost everything. She has been moving from hotel to hotel trying to figure out what she was going to do. With the help of the Red Cross and some of my coworkers she recently moved into an apartment closer to her job. I stopped in to see her tonight and give her a gift from our family. During our talk I discovered that she is in desperate need of a vehicle. (those are my words, not hers. She said she didn't need anything.) Her job is within walking distance but she has no mode of transportation to take her kids to school, sporting events, the store, etc. she spends roughly $80 a week to pay for cab fare. This is a huge chunk of her paycheck. She indicated that she has a valid drivers license but simply does not have the means to purchase a car while she is trying to get back on her feet. If you have a vehicle or know someone who has a vehicle that they may be willing to donate to my friend Diane, it would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime I would also like to begin raising money to put towards a car or simply provide her with some additional funds to take care of the kids. Any amount you could donate would be greatly appreciated.
