My name is Lucas Petrovich and I am the Director of Century 21 Results which is a local Real Estate Agency in Cranbourne, Victoria. I wish to raise money for Raj and his young children who have recently faced great tragedy and misfortune. This situation hits so close to my heart as I lost my father to cancer at the age of 6 and had to see my mother struggle and suffer in silence with little support from others. I know that if we can raise enough money for Raj and the kids we can make a dramatic difference to his tragic situation. Please read his story below.
Excited to be living in their newly built home in Cranbourne East, Raj’s and his children’s world was suddenly turned upside down when they lost Sangeeta, wife, mother and their greatest supporter to cancer. As a result Raj was forced out of his career to look after his young children and grieve her death. The bills continued to pile up leaving Raj with no option but to sell his home and continue the daily struggle of renting and trying to make ends meet. Taking on work as a taxi driver, Raj now works when he can whilst dealing with both the emotional and logistical problems in the day to day care of his children.
Recently engaging myself as his Real Estate Agent to sell the home, my aim was to get the house on the market as soon as possible and ensure we could pay the bills and help Raj move forward. Due to the cold and heartless acts of others within the community, Raj’s new home was broken into with multiple items being stolen or damaged including the oven, vanities, shower head etc. Working with the insurance company was a slow process but with the help of some trades things were finally moving and hire furniture was due to be installed on Tuesday the 29th of March with photos to be taken that evening. However this would not be the case as on Easter Sunday Raj’s home was broken into once again, with damage done to the carpet and items stolen including the hot water service, gas ducted heating unit, piping outside the property, vanities, shower heads and even some lighting.
Raj has now been forced to have his father move into the property to ensure it is not broken into a third time, this has put further emotional strain and stress on the family as Raj’s father was looking after the kids whilst Raj was trying to earn an income.
If you could find it in your heart to donate to this cause it would greatly assist a man who is in a time of need. The money raised will go towards current bills, repairs and in general to assist in ensuring his children have a roof over their heads and food to eat.
