Sierra Leone Mission Trip

Dear friends and family,
Hello! Back in June of 2013 I went on my first mission trip to Sierra Leone, Africa. I am SO excited to announce that I get to go back for a second time this summer!
My aunt and uncle, Karen and Mark Boland, founded and currently run a nonprofit organization called My Kinsmen Ministries. MKM is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. All donations go directly to Sierra Leone where they minister in three major areas: 1) Establishing individuals in small business through loans, 2) Education support for more than 60 students in school through MKM scholarships, and 3) Village outreach. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust win the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” So that is simply what I am doing in deciding that I am called to go to Africa for a second time. I will be in between jobs during this time and want to make the best possible use of it. Ironically, 5 years ago I sent out a letter and stated: "I am at a point in my life where I am unsure about many things, and I am hoping this trip helps me put life into perspective, as well as giving me a chance to focus on my relationship with God and how I show Him to others." This is still true. I have come so far in my relationship with Jesus and can't wait to see what He does on the trip!
The first thing I ask for is prayer support. Please pray that my nerves are calmed, I have good health before and during the trip (the airplane is usually not my friend), and that I make life-long friendships and memories while in Sierra Leone. The trip cost is about $3500. I am spending as much of my own money as possible, and am making sacrifices to do so. Are you in a position to be one of my sponsors for this amazing trip?
