I am raising money for my daughter, Angelique. My daughter is my life; she means the world to me. Recently she has been diagnosed with tongue and throat cancer (details below) and will need surgery and radiation. I can't think of a sweeter, kinder, more caring young lady than my daughter, and it breaks my heart that she is so sick.
This money is going to be used for copayments, miscellaneous care expenses and, of course, the extremely high costs of hospitalization. Currently, my daughter works as a waitress at Cheesecake Factory and has her own place, two dogs, and average personal expenses. I work as an administrative assistant and covering her medical costs will be very difficult. I am a single parent of two lovely daughters and I do not have any additional financial assistance.
Surgery is April the 14th of 2016. It is an 8-12 hour procedure, and she will remain in intensive care for one week. The doctors will remove the cancer, including half of her tongue, and she will have reconstructive surgery to rebuild her mouth and tongue with skin grafts. She will receive six weeks of radiation treatment following her release from the hospital. The prognosis is for a long but nearly full recovery. We are currently in touch with support groups for emotional and mental support during the recovery, but this will be for naught if we cannot afford her care.
This campaign will save her life and I will be forever grateful. I cannot imagine this world without my beloved baby girl, and all of you would be contributing more than just money.
