Stafford NAACP COVID-19 Response Fund

People are now starting to really hurt, especially those who were laid off from their jobs, especially hourly wage earners. Even with federal assistance, those working paycheck to paycheck are going to find it hard to pay all their bills and survive. They may have to decide between food, rent and medicine. That's where the Stafford NAACP wants to assist, but in order to do so, support is needed.

Those who are still working from home and still receiving an income, and those doing well and will survive this crisis easily, please consider helping those who are not doing as well. Especially if you received a federal stimulus check and didn’t really need it. Your support will be gratefully appreciated.

The Stafford Branch of the NAACP has assembled an ad hoc committee to raise funds for our new Stafford NAACP COVID-19 Response Fund. The committee will use those funds to assist NAACP members and our Stafford County neighbors who have been laid off due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The plan is help pay necessary bills that they are required to pay immediately; to buy groceries, medicines and other necessities; to pay for child care and/or other additional requirements.

Our organization has a 501(c)(4) designation, and as such, generally, contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

Thank you so much for your assistance and help.
