Im one of Justin and Hannah's family friends. Im fortunate enough to be able to try and do something for them and their baby boy Ashton, so I will do my best to tell you what they are going through.
Many of us walk through life taking advantage of the little things and often the big things. My friends were thrown a curve ball when baby Ashton blessed us with his presence. Ashton was delivered by emergency C-section at 29 weeks due to underlying circumstances. Hannah and Justin were flown on a emergency flight to Denver CO where Ashton was born there after. Ashton was born 2lbs 10oz and 15in. He is currently undergoing the fight of his life daily, he has undergone brain scans and is on a ventilator to assist in his breathing. Ashton is getting his nutrition which is a combination of breast milk and IV fluids. Ashton can only be held by his parents about 3hrs a day.
Justin is currently employeed as a teacher through Natrona County School District. He has taken on coaching and working towards his masters degree while working through these times. Justin is doing weekend commutes from Casper to Denver to spend the weekends with his wonderful family. Hannah is staying in Denver with Ashton for the duration of his stay.
